Dad Matters Support Co-ordinator
8-16 hours, £25,874 pro rata
We are looking for a Dad Matters Support Worker to join our team to deliver 121 support to dads in the perinatal period. The successful candidate will play a key part in better supporting dads/partners in the early days of parenthood across Gloucestershire.
The post holder will provide individual face to face and telephone support to dads during the perinatal period. This will involve the following:
- Managing a caseload of dads who have been referred to the service
- Signposting and supporting access to other services as appropriate
- Educating dads on the importance of bonding and attachment
- Providing a listening space for dads
- Promoting the importance of good mental health
- Reassuring and validating dad’s experiences
- Maintaining good relationships with referrers
- Undertaking designated responsibilities to safeguard and promote children’s welfare
