Following the successful completion of the Mothers in Mind Project in 2016/17. The Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group are continuing to fund a pilot group to better support families affected by Perinatal Mental Health, around the time of pregnancy and up to 2 years after birth.
The Mothers in Mind (MiMs) pilot is a FREE 6-week drop-in group offering mums a place to find comfort, advice and support while experiencing anxiety, depression, low mood, OCD, or loneliness around the time of pregnancy or after birth. The group will be a place for sharing thoughts and experiences, taking part in activities or solely enjoying the company of other mums and their children. The aim is to provide reassurance to mothers coping with moderate to severe mental health concerns in a non-judgemental way. We welcome babies and up to preschool aged children to ensure support to our mums, where there will be child-friendly activities.
This group will run from different locations and venues across the Stroud District and Quedgeley throughout the year. For upcoming groups please see details below. Click here to also see our GROUP-START TIMETABLE 2017-2018
