Job Title: CEO/Admin Support Officer
Location: Stonehouse (Onsite parking available)
Job Type: Part-time (18 hours, ideally over 3 – 4 days)
Salary: 11,872 per year (based on £24,404 FTE)

Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. Trained home-visiting volunteers offer regular friendship, emotional, and practical support to help families experiencing a challenging time in their lives. Purpose of Role
To provide proactive executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive, including diary and inbox management, coordination of fundraising/reporting deadlines, preparation of reports and Board papers, and administrative and communications support for the Dad Matters programme.
Key Responsibilities
CEO Support
- Manage CEO diary, prioritising time effectively.
- Monitor and manage CEO inbox, drafting responses where appropriate.
- Maintain CEO task/action list and provide weekly reminders.
- Collate and format Board/Committee papers.
- Support CEO with correspondence, presentations, and reports.
- Process staff and volunteer expenses.
Fundraising & Reporting Support
- Track all grant and funding reporting/application deadlines.
- Ensure CEO is reminded of upcoming submissions and prepared for deadlines.
- Collate input from staff and Office Manager for funding reports.
- Maintain funder communication records and acknowledgements.
Dad Matters Administration
- Set up and manage Dad Matters groups on Eventbrite.
- Coordinate venue bookings and liaise with venue staff.
- Conduct risk assessments of venues for Dad Matters events.
- Promote Dad Matters groups and events on social media platforms.
- Collect and maintain accurate records of attendance at Dad Matters events.
- Input Dad referrals into the organisation’s database.
- Provide administrative support to the Dad Matters team as required.
- Assist in organising and scheduling Dad Matters meetings and appointments.
Person Specification: CEO/Admin Support Officer
Experience
- Experience in administration or PA/EA support.
- Experience preparing reports, presentations, and meeting papers.
- Experience with event management platforms (e.g. Eventbrite).
- Familiarity with social media marketing and content creation (e.g. Canva).
- Experience in fundraising administration (desirable).
Skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Knowledge
- Understanding of risk assessment procedures for events.
- Awareness of mental health/family support services (desirable).
- Knowledge of charity administration (desirable).
