During the COVID-19 pandemic we have moved our groups online and we’re also supporting families by telephone instead of face to face.
Group Start groups comprise of:
Best Start Postnatal Group
Best Start which is a postnatal programme offering postnatal support for parents with babies up to approximately 6/7 months old. The aim of the group is to aid maternal mental health and promote networking and peer support. The 6 week programme will be made up of First Aid, Sleep, Baby Massage, Early Communication, Weaning, Oral Health and Play ideas.

Mothers in Mind Support Group
Mothers in Mind which is a drop in group supporting perinatal mental health in mothers, that is, for anyone suffering from depression, low mood , anxiety and or isolation. The 8 week drop in group for mothers and children offers support with positive bonding and attachment in a nurturing and non-judgmental space. Child friendly sessions may include: arts & craft, Healthy body/healthy mind, relaxation techniques, peer support.

Bump Start Antenatal Programme
Bump Start which is a antenatal programme for parents expecting a baby at any stage of the pregnancy. The aim of the group is to encourage parents so that they feel supported, listened to and prepared for the new babies. The 6 week programme will be made up of sessions on:
- How babies develop
- Taking care of Ourselves
- Caring for my/our baby
- Changes for me/us
- Giving birth
- Who is there for us?

Forest Green Family Fun
Forest Green Family Fun which is a FREE drop in group held at The Arkell Community Centre, Forest Green, Nailsworth every Wednesday and Friday 10am to 11.30am term time only. Activities include craft & messy play, outside play, dressing up. Free snacks and refreshments are available. This group offers parents and children the chance to meet others.
