Volunteers Course of preparation

A 40 hour course for adults with parenting experience to understand and prepare for the role of a home-visiting family supporter. Once trained volunteers will visit families in their homes for 2 to 3 hours per week to offer support, friendship and practical support for at least one year. All out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.

The Westonbirt Charities Fair is one of the largest charity fairs in the West Country. It is a not-for-profit annual event organised by the Home-Start Stroud District charity supporting both Home-Start and other local charities. Our 2016 Fair raised a massive £41,000 for Charities which was donated to Home-Start SD, National Star, The Nelson Trust, Acorns and Riding for the Disabled.
